Day 28: Glorify God

Day 28: Glorify the Father

Read and Meditate on:        Psalm 86: 12 – 13

                                                      I Corinthians 10: 31

                                                      Ephesians 1: 12 – 14

As we near the completion of our journey, one thing that I hope we have all learned is:  It’s not about us!”  We were put on this earth to honor and glorify God, and while our journey thus far has been much about changing us, the central focus is still God.  We need to change so that we can reflect His glory!  We need to be more like Him so that we can fulfill our purpose:  Glorify the Father!

Today, as you meditate on His word, reflect on who the Father is.  What have you learned about Him?  You might want to look back through your prayer journal and see what nouns or adjectives you have used to describe Him.  Words like redeemer, refuge, strength, and father come to mind.  I’m sure your list will be different from mine because He is a mighty big God!

As you reflect on those words and names, praise Him!  Exalt Him!  Glorify His name!  He is the great I Am!  Praise Yahweh!

Adoration:

Supplication:

Praise Your Holy Name!  You alone are worthy of praise, honor, and glory.  May I live a life that brings You glory and gives You the honor that You deserve.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“It was a great delusion to think that times of prayer ought to differ from other times.”  Brother Lawrence
