Day 22: Produce Fruit!
Day 22: Produce Fruit – Patience
Read and Meditate on: Psalm 37: 7 - 24
James 5: 7 – 11
I will
be the first to admit: patience is not
my virtue. In a world that emphasizes
“express” everything, it is difficult to cultivate a mindset of “wait”. We have learned to want everything NOW. Yet, the Scripture tells us to “wait
patiently” for the Lord. What does it
mean to be “patient” and to “wait” on Him?
Patience
includes endurance. It requires us to
stay in a particular place or circumstance until the timing is right. When we wait patiently on the Lord, we spend
that time abiding in Him but at the same time, we remain in anticipation of
what He will do or when He will make Himself evident in our lives.
Learning
to be patient is not easy, but through the work of the Holy Spirit, we can
learn to live daily in anticipation of God’s work in our lives. Don’t lose heart regardless of your
circumstances. Wait patiently on the
Lord! He will not fail you!

Supplication:
Father, I know that
Your timing is always perfect. Help me
to look to You for guidance and then wait patiently for You to respond. Thank You that You always hear when we call. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
