Day 20: Produce Fruit!
Day 20: Produce Fruit – Joy
Read and Meditate on: Psalm 89: 16
John 15: 11
Acts 8: 5 – 8
James 1: 2
I Peter 1: 6 - 9
The
second “fruit of the Spirit” is joy. Joy
is not the same as happiness. Happiness
depends on your circumstances; joy does not.
Joy may be present despite your circumstances. For the Christian, “joy” is dependent on our
relationship with Christ.
James
tells us that we can experience “joy” even during trials and hardships. “Joy” is derived from life in Christ. God is the source of our “joy” and since He
is faithful in all circumstances, the pain and sorrow of this life cannot rob
us of our “joy”.
Ask the
Holy Spirit to help you to have “joy” in all the circumstances of your
life. When you exhibit “joy” despite
your difficulties, you reflect Christ, and the world will see Christ living in
you.
Adoration:
Confession:
Thanksgiving:
Supplication:
Father, help me to
reflect Your joy no matter my circumstances.
May others see Christ living in me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“He who has learned to
pray, has learned the greatest Secret of a holy and happy life.” William Law
