Day 16: Reflect
Day 16: Reflect
Read and Meditate on: Psalm 139: 23, 24
I Corinthians 11: 27, 28
II Corinthians 13: 5
Today is
a day for reflection. You might want to
take some extra time and just get away to a quiet spot with God. Spend this time getting to know yourself in
light of God’s Word.
Seek God’s help in searching your heart. Examine your thoughts, your attitude, and
your innermost being. Meditate on God’s
ways and consider how you reflect His truth in your life. Do you harbor ill will towards someone? Do you allow worry to overwhelm you? Do you remember the sacrifice that Christ has
made for you, and do you honor that sacrifice?
Do you reflect Christ living in you?
If the
answer is no (and if you are honest, I’m quite sure it will be “no” for all of
us on some level), it’s not too late to change.
Confess your sins and seek God’s help in becoming the disciple He
designed you to be.
Adoration:
Confession:
Thanksgiving:
Supplication:
Father, You know my
heart. Reveal to me any sin in my
life. Holy Spirit guide my thoughts, my
words, and my actions, so that I will reflect Your glory. Change me, O Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“Prayer in the sense of
petition, asking for things, is a small part of it; confession and penitence
are its threshold, adoration its sanctuary, the presence and vision and
enjoyment of God its bread and wine.” C. S. Lewis
