Beyond Thanksgiving!
Now that we have all stuffed ourselves and enjoyed time with our families and friends, let’s not forget the reason that we celebrated. Giving thanks and showing gratitude is not a “one-and-done” event. It should be a way of life.
When it
comes to giving thanks to God, Psalm 100 is a great reminder of who God is and
what He has done.
“1Shout
for joy to the Lord, all the earth”
Christians
should exhibit joy for all the earth to see.
“2Worship
the Lord with Gladness; come before him with joyful songs.”
Worship
is not a time for sadness. Let Him see
your joy and happiness. Let Him hear
your songs of praise.
“3Know
that the Lord is God. It is he who made
us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.”
We
should stand in awe of the God of the Universe, who made us and calls us His
own. He is our good Shepherd, who cares
for us all the days of our lives.
“4Enter
his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and
praise his name.”
The whole world is the Lord’s. Give thanks to Him in all circumstances. Praise His name. May He be glorified throughout the earth.
“5
For the Lord is good, and his love endures forever; his faithfulness
continues through all generations.”
God
is a good, good God! He has loved us
with an everlasting love, and He is faithful even when we are not. His faithfulness will continue until His appointed
time for Christ to return.
Let’s give
thanks all year long, praising the One who gave His all for us! May our lives express the joy that He gives us,
and may we be the “living sacrifices” that He has called us to be!

100
